On your iPhone or iPad go to:
Step 1: Go to Settings and open Cellular option on your iPhone
Step 2: Scroll down till you reach Netflix
Step 3: Tap the slider to grey to make sure Netflix doesn’t use cellular data
Step 4: Below the Netflix logo you will see how much data you have streamed
However, if you don’t want to turn off Netflix using data altogether there is also a method through which you can control how much data does Netflix use. For this you need to use the app itself.
The app allows you the setting to keep data usage automatic. What this does is alter the quality of your picture and hence the data streaming rate according to the speed of your internet connection.
What If You Toggle Off The Option?
However, if you toggle this off, you are given the option of which picture quality you want to stream on. Low is the worst picture quality but consumes less data, about 0.25GB per hour. The highest quality consumes 3GB per hour.

Step 1: Launch the Netflix app
Step 2: Tap the menu bars from the top left corner
Step 3: Scroll down when the menu appears till you see ‘App Settings‘
Step 4: Select ‘Cellular Data Usage‘
Step 5: After toggling off the ‘Set Automatically’ option you will be able to choose which picture quality you want to stream in.
