Last week iPhone Dev Team released RedSn0w 0.9.10b8b to support backing up your iPhone’s unlock activation tickets. The unlock tickets were a important part of the well-known SAM unlock tool.
A fresh Redsn0w update — RedSn0w 0.9.10b8b is released by iPhone Dev Team in order to fix some minor jailbreaking bugs.
The newest version of Redsnow — RedSn0w 0.9.10b8b fixes bugs associated with creating zip files much more compatible to native Windows explorer.
Dev Team reported:
“The 0.9.10b8b update to redsn0w makes the zip files more compatible with the native Windows explorer (which doesn’t like leading slashes in the filenames).”
If your device is previously jailbroken, you won’t need to jailbreak your device again, but if you’re trying to perform a fresh jailbreak, you can download the updated version of Redsn0w:

Keep in mind that just A4 and A5 devices on iOS 5.0 / iOS 5.0.1 and lower are supported for untethered jailbreak (including tethered jailbreak for A4 devices on iOS 5.1). Dev Team announced that hackers are working to release a untethered jailbreak for all iOS 5.1 devices.
