Today I will show two methods how to use the new R-Sim 4 hardware unlock solution.
The first one is for non-jailbroken iPhones but the second is… Still there is no untethered iOS 5.1 jailbreak, but you can perform tethered iOS 5.1 jailbreak, to use R-Sim 4 card. All you need before start up is jailbroken iPhone 4 to set up the latest Furious Mod.

Note: R-Sim IV Card works up to iOS 5.1 on iPhone 4, but your locked iPhone must be activated, the R-SIM 4 card is able to operate in only one carrier mode. Prymary mode is AT&T. R-SIM 4 card has set more than 26 Carriers, other Carrier can be set via “GET Carrier Code” & “EDIT IMSI to Activate”.
How to Unlock Jailbroken iPhone 4 with R-Sim 4 Card:
Step 1: Enter R-Sim IV card together with your Sim into your iPhone, and now turn it on.
Step 2: Now connect your iPhone using iFunbox and iTools, navigate to: var/root/library/lockdown/ And erase all files in the lockdown folder and turn Off your iPhone.
Step 3: Now turn On your iPhone to activate it, and launch iTunes. Then connect your iPhone for activation.
Step 4: After Successful Activation, navigate to: var/root/library/lockdown/ And erase all files.
Step 5: Now turn Off your iPhone and take out R-Sim IV, and insert only your Sim.
Step 6: Turn On your iPhone, launch iTunes and Activate it (You will get Wrong message). Now stop connecting, Close iTunes, Again open iTunes and Again Connect your iPhone to Activate it.
Now your iPhone 4 Activation will be successful, and your iPhone 4 will be unlocked with R-Sim IV Card.
How to Unlock Non-Jailbroken iPhone 4 with R-Sim 4 Card:
Step 1: You must enter R-Sim 4 and your Sim card into the iPhone 4.
Step 2: Go to “Settings” -> Return to the Original Condition and Wipe out all the contents and all settings.
Step 3: Now connect your locked iPhone to the computer, launch iTunes for activation, and turn Off your iPhone.
Step 4: Now take out R-Sim IV, insert only your Sim, and again repeat the process from Step 2.
Step 5: Connect your iPhone to iTunes for Activation. When you get Wrong message, disconnect it, Close iTunes, Again open iTunes and connect your iPhone for Activation.
